Most teams do not need more leads. They need the leads they have to carry phone numbers and current roles. This walk-through takes an existing account list and fills in what is missing - without re-keying a single field by hand.
Start from the names you already trust
The CRM export gives you company names - that is enough. In KnowFirst, work the other direction from a fresh search: rebuild the segment your CRM describes (Businesses, with the industry and location filters that match the accounts), and the platform holds the current register view of each one.
Match on the register, not on the spelling
A CRM writes Harbour Rd Pty Ltd. The register writes something else. Match on ABN or ACN where you have them, and on location plus industry where you do not. The business profile carries both identifiers plus GST status, so the match is a register match rather than a string comparison.
Unlock the people who answer
For each account that matters, the profile's key people list shows who runs it now - not who ran it when the CRM record was created. Unlock the ones you will actually contact:
- Credits are spent per unlock, and only once per record
- The unlock follows the person across searches, lists and profiles
- The export dialog prices contact fields up front
Export for import
Export the list with the fields the CRM wants - names, roles, phone numbers, email addresses, the register identifiers. The file prepares in the background, lands in Exports as a zip, and imports cleanly because the fields came from one source instead of five.
The habit, not the project
Enrichment ages. Roles change, businesses move, numbers churn. The teams that keep a clean CRM re-run the same segment quarterly and top up what changed - minutes, not a migration.
